In an interview with Newsmax, TCA’s senior fellow Ashley McGuire confronts the synodal confusion that developed under Francis’ papacy and affirms that “we can’t afford to be confused in this world where we have such aggressive, rampant secular hostility.” She notes the record numbers of young people coming to the faith in the US and the solid orthodoxy driving it. “If we want to bring new souls to Christ, we need to be clear in how we proclaim the faith.” She shares her hope the new pope will be a holy man “who’s a bold and courageous preacher of the faith.”
