Statement on Supreme Court Upholding Parents’ Rights and Religious Freedom

“Today’s decision is a major victory for parental rights and for religious freedom. Parents are the primary educators of their children, and they should get to decide when and how they broach sensitive topics about gender and sexuality, not the public school bureaucrats. This ruling is a clear rebuke of Montgomery County Public Schools’ efforts to forcibly teach explicit lessons about sexuality and gender ideology to children despite the religious objections of their parents. And it sends a clear message to schools everywhere that parental rights and religious liberty do not end the moment a child steps into the classroom.”
