A Call for Trump and Holy Father to be Shared Force for World Peace
In an interview with EWTN News, TCA senior fellow Ashley McGuire discusses Secretary of State Marcio Rubio’s opportunity to alleviate tensions between President Trump and Pope Leo during his Vatican visit. McGuire expressed in a May 5th opinion piece in the New York Post, “I pray it is fruitful because…America’s diplomatic goals are very much aligned with those of the Vatican.” In the interview with EWTN, McGuire underscored how “the Vatican, the Holy Father, is very much about peace, and so is the United States. The United States at its best is a force for peace in the world, is a force for good in the world, and we are best off when we are working together toward that mutual aim.”
