It’s no secret that the Democratic Party is beholden to Planned Parenthood and the abortion lobby. But the recent efforts of some Democratic legislators to block a bill that would provide financial restitution to victims of human trafficking over abortion funding has ushered in an era of new extremes.

While America is a two-party nation, one where partisan disagreement and discord is common, there are certain types of legislation that should be marked by party unity. The Justice for Victims of Trafficking Act falls into that category. And indeed, its future seemed promising and uncontroversial when the Judiciary Committee that considered the bill voted unanimously to move it forward. Every single Democrat on the committee voted in favor of the bill, which counted 13 Democrat co-sponsors.
