Every life has value and every person, born or unborn, has dignity. The violent destruction of innocent human life in the womb is an affront to this basic truth. As our bishops wrote in Faithful Citizenship, “all issues do not carry the same moral weight” and “the moral obligation to oppose policies promoting intrinsically evil acts has a special claim on our consciences and our actions.” Abortion hurts women and ends countless innocent lives. As Catholics, we are called to oppose it at every turn. TCA proudly takes up that challenge.
